IE6 Crashes on RECORD with WR 8.2 and Oracle 7.6

I am using IE6 with WinRunner 8.2 with the Oracle 7.6 {NCA Oracle Apps.} (there's as yet no Oracle 8.2 plugin for WR 8.2...).

This setup works fine when I playback but crashes IE6 browser window on RECORD (Error memory cannot be "read", the browser window dies).

I monitored memory usage throughout, and nothing abnormal to report.

WinRunner 7.6 with the Oracle 7.6 plugin work s fine in both playback and record.

Installed the latest patches from Merc Int. Only thing I haven't tried is a total re-install, which I'm trying to avoid, sine I have the same problem across 15 machines!

    Can anyone help?

IE6 support for WR 8.2 was spotty. You may try running the latest WR 9.2 release that is officially certified for IE6. Beyond that, you should contact HP support for more advanced troubleshooting.

    Boyd - don't you mean IE7?

WR 8.2 is stable for IE6

Tony, you're right. I meant IE7 and not IE6. Clearly this isn't the issue.

Feel free to delete my inaccurate response and smack me on the head next time you see me.

Nah - I make too many of those same mistakes to start pointing the finger at anyone else!
