how to write values back in to the excel sheet
scenario is like this
i have opened excelsheet(table) in DDT_MODE_READWRITE mode and i am retriving the value of one coloumn from the table using ddt_val function, after that using ddt_set_val_by_row, i am inserting the retrieved value back in to the same excel sheet but in different coloumn, the scripting is running fine but, instead of inserting the value, it is inserting the paramerter name in the second coloumn.
please reply back with code for better understanding.
i am writing the functions used
here instead of intering the value in it is inseting the parameter name in the second coloumn
Re: how to write values back in to the excel sheet
Your code looks correct. Is it possible your 'row' variable is off? If you're using 'ddt_val' to read the value, you should probably just use 'ddt_set_val' to write the value back. Then you're always certain it is being read from and written to the same active row. Otherwise, you run the potential of accidentally specifying a different row when you write back. Alternatively, use 'ddt_val_by_row' when reading the value to go with the 'ddt_set_val_by_row' statement. In other words, make the two functions consistent.
Beyond that, perhaps you're doing something in your real code that is a little different than what you cleaned up and posted here.
