Where are Winrunner Tests Stored
I use a combination of Test Director and Winrunner to create my automated tests. The tests are 1st converted into basic Winrunner code by Test Director and then when I choose the automated test through Test Director it opens Winrunner so I can make modifications and ensure the test performs as designed. When I attempt to go back (via Windows Explorer) to find the directory where the test is automatically saved, I cant find them. If I open the Winrunner program and select a test then use the 'save as' function, I can find those tests. Can anyone tell me how to find where Winrunner automatically saves these tests?
Re: Where are Winrunner Tests Stored
When you open a test that is stored in TestDirector (TD) or Quality Center (QC), the test is permanently stored on the TD/QC server and downloaded locally to a temp folder for your edits. When you save, the changes are saved to the temp file and uploaded back to the server.
Unless you have access to the TD/QC project repository on the server, you can't view the WinRunner scripts using Windows Explorer.
When you use 'Save As' from WinRunner, WinRunner is using a special dialog to show you the tests currently stored in TD/QC.
