    Functionality of Menu Items

    Hello!

    Winrunner's version is 8.2 & would like to do testing of window based application developed in C# 2005.

    Here my question is how to do functionality testing of menu item?

    eg. Menu File - Projects. When click on the option 'Projects', it should open another window containing details about the projects.

    Any command to check the caption/value of menu item selected?

    Thanks

    Re: Functionality of Menu Items

    Hello Arun!

    Thanks

    I have successfully worked with command menu_get_item to get particular menu item & followed by menu_select_item to check functionality of menu item.
    Now I am tiring for functionality of push button. e.g When click on Add button, the form with all objects having blank value should display.

    What I have done is that click on Add button, form gets opened & recorded for all objects using get_text function.()

    And finally checking values of all objects like below
    eg
    # Display Customer Details
    set_window ("Display Customer Details", 6);
    button_press ("ADD");

    comp=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox", text); # sd
    add1=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_1", text); # ss

    # No text was found
    add2=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_2", text);

    # No text was found
    add3=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_3", text);

    # No text was found
    add4=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_4", text);

    # No text was found
    add5=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_5", text);

    # No text was found
    email=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_6", text);

    # No text was found
    postcode=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_7", text);

    # No text was found
    country=obj_get_text("ThunderTextBox_8", text);

    if (comp=" " || add1=" " || add2=" ")

    report_msg("Add but");

    Is this correct way? or I have to GUI check point?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Shrweta,

    You have asked this question, with less details elsewhere, try not to ask the same thing twice, it only annoys people. I suggest you add these details to your other post and get an answer on that
