I am using WR 8.2 and trying to test a web application. I am dealing with dynamic links, screens and searching for random html_text_links on some pages. I have all of that under control (end background info).
My issue begins when I try to run some functions, specifically web_obj_get_text and web_obj_get_child_item. I can get them to work occasionally, so I know I have them configured correctly. Most of the time however I cannot get them to work and recieve error -10114 (E_AUT_DISCONNECTED). I at first thought this was because the web page didn't completely finish loading before running the functions, but I don't think that is the issue now. Mercury/HP tech support has only responded with a question "What is the refresh rate on your web page ? Does it happen if you increase the refresh rate on your web page ?". Not sure what they are asking....resfresh rate on my local web browser or the refresh rate on the web application itself?
Anyway, if anyone has some insight to this one I would appretiate it!
I think I might have answered my own question on this one. Here is the solution that is working for me so far:
I dynamically get the main frame name that I am getting the E_AUT_DISCONNECTED error message from and use it in a web_refresh("frame_name_here");. I guess WinRunner was just losing the connectinon to the web app frame.
Hope this helps anyone else that has the issue.
