Clarification in Virtual Object wizard
Small clarification using Virtual Object Wizard:
when we are using virtual object wizard to identify the "Total" object in our report window, we are getting the values also(this is for one report)
if you can use same object and different report we are unable to getting different values not for "Total" values.
because fisrt report it showing only limmited rows but when we are opening second report row size is increased.so based on increasing rows, values are getting different.
my thought virtual object alwasy depends on x and y cordinate values so based on x and y cordinate it will get the values.
my clarification is : Is their any possible way to find the object using virtual without taking x and y cordinates
if you can use x and y cordinates in virtual object, that object is not suitable for second report.
Please let me your clarication
Not: our application we are unable to identifying the object without takeing virtual.
Please find Screen shot also, you will get the idea
Re: Clarification in Virtual Object wizard
Well, that's the way virtual objects are working: WR cannot identify any objects on the screen, so you tell him that the objects lies on coordinate x/y.
If you know that the report will grow you could modify the coordinates of the virtual object (if you know its new position).
You could calculate the coordinates from the lower end of the report (if you know the coordinates of the report object/window).
Or you could use the CSO function get_pixel_color() to find the thick line that separates the report rows from the summary and calculate the x/y-coordinates of your virtual object from this thick line.
Many possibilities - all have two things in common:
They are a little bit awkward and (therefore) they require some automation knowledge. Do you have it yet?
