so how can i get the location name. As per winrunner help we have datawindow_get_info function is available, but we donot have property name to get the label name(like if you get the countvalue u can use DataWindow.column.count, same manner how can get the label i tried to given label instead of count, but it's showing error)
Please help how can get the lable name using datawindow
Wow this is a bit hard for me to follow.
I can only guess you want the label name of the "Corporate Location" object in the Parent window "dw_report".
If thats what you want here's how you do it:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
#obj_get_info ( object, property, out_value );
I am going to leave it to you as a growing exercise, to go through the documentation and find the property for the object == "CORPORATE LOCATION". ask yourself what KIND of Object am I looking for .. what property do I really want. Play with the code empirical answers are just as good a start as any other.
I know this stuff is tricky, and I am giving you a hint, without telling you. You must invest in yourself or you will keep asking questions like this.
Also see if your org can spring for classes usually MI makes a deal for licenses .. and throws in education.

I would agree with rick in that you need to get training and take the time to learn the tool. You are asking us to do your job for you with you having already said you aren't going to take the time to learn the skills you need. You are relying on us to get you through your job.
I will say this. Having a function available in WinRunner does not mean it is valid for the object.
Have you researched what the physical description of the object shows you? Have you read up on the available commands and tried to pull back all the information availiable to you? Have you worked out logically what you can gleam from these commands and maybe workout a combination of information to get what you need possibly thorugh custom functions?
