Using variables and regular expressions to define a window.
Creating a folder in the Web based AUT consists of defining a folder type (ftype), folder name (fname), a season (season), development stage (dev), and a hierarchy (this is a static value).
Each is defined by a variable except for hierarchy. The variable names are specified in brackets above.
At the final step of the process, after the save the page is named this:
(fname)in (ftype)&i -multilevel hierarchy-\season.
example: <'? Folder Type 1 in Folder Name 8 - AA 1\\A\\A1\\A1a\\A1a1\\A1a1a\\Fall &">
To complicate matters all tests have been specified to run under the AUT language of Test. This test language consists of prefix <'? and suffix &"> characters.
There are other windows specified that have -in- in their lable.
Question: Is it possible to use regular expressions in combination with variables inside a set window command?
fval="!.*"&ftype&" in "& fname & i &"!.*";
the above didnt work but thought I would put it in as an example of where I am trying to go with this.
