I have few winrunner8.0 scripts and I need to convert into QTP so what are things do I need to take care and how can start to conversion.

You cannot convert the existing WR scripts into QTP scripts. You can call the WR scripts from QTP and run the scripts using WR. For using QTP, you have to develop new scripts in QTP
So if I wants to run/call winrunner scripts from the QTP mean do I need to install winrnner also on the same systems?...
yes, you would need WinRunner installed to run WinRuner scripts.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
A small word of warning... WR calling QTP and visa versa is a little buggy. I've seen situations where calling a QTP script from WinRunner would randomly return "Failed" error codes even though the script executed as planned.
If possible, try to avoid mixing the tools.
