Without TD is it possible to integrate CVS verison control tool with winrunner. I tried to find some information on this in the user guide but didnot, however I was told it is possible, BUT HOW?
I need a version control mechanic to schedule the test, compile the reports and assist with tracking the versions of the scripts and software as well as any other traceability requirements you have.
I think what you are looking for is a Test management tool and not version control tool. While it is true the some test management tools would support 'versioning' of tests, you may not find the reverse applicable.
Version control tools are meant for just that.. Version Control. Version control tools can have docs, dev code, even binary files which can be versioned, but scheduling of tests is for test management tool, and no version control tool would support it.
As a workaround, you could schedule tasks on your desktop which would do a 'get latest' at a specific time, and then allowing for that process to complete, fire the test scripts also using cmd line.
