I wish to know if there is a way, thru WinRunner to capture images and make the result a JPG format image and not the standard BMP format which takes up much more space.
If it's working... don't touch it!
On the Mercury support page (user knowledge base, I believe) there is a conversion routine to convert bitmap to jpeg.
You can capture the bitmap, convert it to jpeg and then delete the bitmap file.
I will look it up.
I was browsing the forums but could not find that thread.
If you can link me to the thread you found I will highly appreciate it.
I use Gadwin's PrintScreen. You can use this as a commandline application, so building a function around it is very easy.
At the Mercury Support pages go to "Downloads" select "User Contributed downloads" for "WinRunner". In the result list search for "JPEG".
It was posted at 03Jul2002, comes from John Montes and is titled "Convert a BMP file to JPEG file - UPDATED".
