All my scripts are quite reliable and rhobust and have been used hundreds of times, but today all of a sudden nothing is working.
When I check, the application (browser app) has a totally different name from that in my GUImap.
Objects within the app have generic names like
Internet Explorer_TridentCmboBx_2 etc
Whereas last week they had sensible names relating to their function.
I havent had any new application software released, so I can only assume that the IT group have made a change to the desktop PC config.
I understand that I have to edit my Logical Name(s) to match my scripts. However when I looked at doing this I found that my application area in the browser was now an object (MSW_class: "Internet Explorer_Server") whereas before it was a window (MSW_class: html_frame).
I must admit to being a bit confused here, Ive never had this happen to me before!
Thats the first thing I thought of. Ive closed everything down and rebooted. Start WR with nothing else running and its still the same.
My first script opens IE, that bit works, its the next step the win_activate thats failing as the window name is unrecognised.
I had a thing that acted like that before. Did you make sure you had your web add-in checked? Thats what was wrong with mine. You might have unchecked it by accident. (as pertaining to the Internet_Explorer_Sever not being html_frame.
