I'm testing a web application.
As soon as I type URL in the address bar and press enter I see "Security Alert" window.
In order to proceed furthur testing I should click "Yes" in that window.
I tried web exception handling ,I entered a new exception through Web exception facility ,selected default click Yes function.
But I'm not able to get the result.
The "Security Alert" window is not going away.
For time being I'm using win_exists()function ,but I don't think it's a good idea.
Do we need to enable the web exception though build in function is used?
I haven't used the web exception features that are built into WR due to the difficulty of ensuring the inf file is distributed to everyone.
I tend to define a popup exception for my scripts (webtest) and it seems to work - not sure if it is the same mechanism as the web except handling, but maybe worth a shot.
I have a good number of windows that I have to write custom functions for that use the win_exists() function to determine what to do (like what item to select based on the test status to that point), so there is nothing wrong with its use.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
