Hello people ,
Has anyone ever done Automated Data driven tests using MS-ACCESS ?
We are looking at transfering all the data that we have in MS-EXCEL into MS-ACCESS , cause its getting too cumbersome and no security whatsoever.
Do we need a seperate ADDIN ??
Do you guys recommend this ??
I do not think you can run a ddt_* function from MS Access because Access is a "mini-databade" on one's local machine. Maybe the db_* function would work, but i am very unsure about using access. If it can make a table, with rows and columns for a file, it "should work" because the ddt_* looks for a table. Again i'm not sure because i have not used databases with winrunner

Using Access to house the info for data driven testing won't require a add in to WR. You can probably go two ways with it.....
You can either redesign your tests to pull information dynamically through the db commands and work through your results, or you can look into pulling the info into a temp sheet via a data junction file from the Access database
