Can you please suggest me a solution to my problem. Everytime i am invoking GUI Spy i am encountering an error MSG and winrunner is terminating abnormally. "Unhandled Exception Winrunner Init - EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION: The thread attempted to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access."

PS: the last line in the error message is consequential as it show the line number #40 of the last script file accessed from the IDE.
I have Win 2K OS and WinRunner 7.5 installed on top of it.
I don't think this is realtive to yours, but it is worth a shot.
We were encountering that error on a system quite a lot during development of compiled modules realting to a framework implementation.
We came to find out since we were using arrays quite a bit, defining them as STATIC and not AUTO was leaing to the memory problem. After going back and reworking all out functions to not use static arrays the issue has since not been repeated.
If you are using arrays in any compiled modules or scripts, you can maybe consider this.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
