I downloaded the VisualStudio .NET add-in from mercury.com and installed the add-in, now at the end of the installation it says that it needs VS .NET installed and it stops the installation. I have installed the .NET FRAMEWORK only, and not the application. Is there any work around??
Thurst yourself into the wheel of madness and action in search of the center. Once you find the center, you cannot be moved.
The .Net add in is for LoadRunner, not WinRunner. It is an add in to Visual Studio .Net which allows for the creation of .Net virtual users in Visual Studio. This .Net add in does not have any benefit for WinRunner. This is documented with the download.
According to Mercury, their direction for .Net support for functional testing is QuickTest Professional. If you need automated functional testing for your native (non-web) .net application, then turn to QuickTest Pro for that support. Your local Rep and/or VAR for Mercury will be able to confirm this for you.
