Using Winrunner API in VB
I want to use Winrunner API in VB so that I can use the GUI files and Winrunner functions like
web_click_link,set_window,edit_set,button_press in short(all functions i Winrunner for both Windows and Web Applications) etc
in my VB6 code and test the AUT by executing that VB6 program.
Is it possible to execute Winrunner test from VB?If so some example will be extremely helpful.
Thanks & Regards,
Re: Using Winrunner API in VB
WinRunner doesn't expose an API that you can call from VB. The WR API is only available through the WR application.
There is probably a DLL or two that is installed with WR that may expose some of the underlying API but calling these directly is probably a breach of your licence agreement.
It is however possible to invoke WR to load and execute a script from within VB using the WR command line options (see "Running Tests from the Command Line" in the WR User Guide). From within VB you should be able to use the Shell() command to invoke WR with the appropriate command line arguments).
hope this helps
