How do you save WinRunner Scripts in TestDirector
I have a script in TestDirector that I open from a TestDirector Project. I make changes to the script and I do a "save as", because "save" is not an option. The name of the script in the project is:
Request Amendments (EXTERNAL - I.E & NETSCAPE)
When I try to do a "save as" with this name I get the following error:
A test can not have any of the following characters: \/<>()@&
I remove the characters and rename the script:
"Request Amendments EXTERNAL - I.E and NETSCAPE"
I then try to do a "Save as" again and get the following error:
Cannot open test test_cas. Error: The test's database folder does not exist.
I gather that the directory structure where the temporary file exists does not match the folder in the project. Under test properties the expected resluts folder is:
C:\TD_76\WGPHOUSDWEBDEV2@@DEFAULT@@td_regression3\ Test\Test Case 19 - Reque_371\371\Test_Cas\exp
This is the only place I find the string "Test_Cas". What do I need to do to be able to save this script in the TestDirector Project:
Re: How do you save WinRunner Scripts in TestDirector
I have resolved the problem. I just renamed the scripts in TestDirector without the special characters and I can now edit them and save them in TestDirector.
