Is there a function to wait until the egg timer has finished processing whatever it is doing....
Need to synchronise my script, until the application is ready, but cannot find a corresponding object state to set determine this. Any help appreciated.
I'm guessing this can be done with the win32api. So keep checking this thread.
In the meantime...
Is there something else to synchronize on beside the cursor?
often a set_window (of the window in which you were working) will provide the required sync.
Read more about Create>Syncronization Point menu.
There's a solution for every problem, it depends how quick you want it
The application I am automating does not have a window object to indicate when processing is complete. The only thing is the egg timer on screen.
Have you looked into the win32api? Somewhere in the WIN SDK is a way to detect the type of cursor. I believe the entry point is in the user32.dll and I seem to recall there are some constants that begin with "IDC_".

Your screen is blank except for an egg timer? No windows (related to the AUT)?
