I am performing a web application testing.I am having ASP pages with links. The problem is Winrunner is not recognising the links. It is only recognising the HTML Frames but not the links.I have added WEB addins. Is there any other addin do i need to add?I am using winrunner 7.0 with IE explorer 6.0.What could be the problem?
It was simply not enough going to File Properties and Clicking Web Add-in there and recording or restarting. I had to go to Tools | General Options | Startup and click on "Display Add-in manager on startup" I entered 5 secs. Then closed browsers and restarted winrunner and checked the Add-in when Winrunner is started and happy days it recognised URLs !!
There is no patch from Mercury to make WR 7.0 compatible with XP or IE6. There are patches for 7.01, so, you will need to upgrade at least that far -or- downgrade your browser.
Quality is the result of a carefully constructed cultural environment. It has to be the fabric of the organization, not part of the fabric.
Steve is right. WR 7.0 doesn't support IE 6.0 and there is no patch for it either.
You'll need to upgrade to at least WR 7.01 build 7224 and apply patch for IE 6.0 support. Or, upgrade to the latest version of WR which is 7.6. I recommend doing the upgrade.
