Perhaps you should consider reading the users guide for the current version, rather than from versions that date from 1995 and 1999, unless this is a historical exercise. You might be hard pressed to find a manufacturer supported operating system in use today for the execution of WinRunner 4.0 or 6.0.
Read the documentation for version 7.5/7.6, both the technology and the product should have a greater degree of relevance.
Reference to such aged releases in use today might earn you a mark as an unlicensed user of software. Particularly if you are a new user to an older, and I might add heavily pirated, release. Such marks do not go unnoticed here.
