unable to see WinRunner\'s files which are in Clearcase
We are using Clearcase as a version control software. We store our scripts into it and also run from it.
We have recently upgraded cleracase version from V 4 to v 4.2
Because of this we are not able to see WinRunner scripts as scripts which are in cleracase.
In WinRunner click file/open. Go to the drive which has cleracase view mapped. All the WinRunner files appear as folders. ( The view appears as if you are looking at it from Windows explorer. ) If you click on the TestName folder and go to "script" file and try to open it you get
"unable to set this folder" error.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Any solution? Any pointer?
Thanks in advance.
Re: unable to see WinRunner\'s files which are in Clearcase
Interesting - Just searched here to see if anyone else had encountered this problem... Based on the age of your post and the lack of replies, seems that it's not something many of us are worried about.
Anyway - I have the same problem, however you may be interested in knowing that I only see this problem when using a dynamic view - the snapshot view seems to be working fine for me. In addition, the following are what I have determined to be the minimal set of files/directories to check into ClearCase:
If anyone else has something to add please do! I have been using ClearCase for about 3 days now so likely there are more expert folks out there! If there is life on this thread I'll post additional experimental data/observations.
