    to find if scroll bar exists

    I am currently using an application in which the scroll bar is dynamic that is it may or may not exist depending on the size of window.Is there a way to find if the scroll bar exists.

    All the scroll functions that I have used will return "illeagal parameter" if the scroll bar is missing.Here is the code.

    Re: to find if scroll bar exists

    obj_exists will check the object that is the table_name however...it will not be able to check if that table has a scroll bar or not...

    syntax: obj_exists(object,...)

    scroll bar is not identified as an object...

    That's more info than you provided before. And sorry - I can't help with that.

    Well, the kludgy way to do it would be:
    </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">set_window(&quot;windowName&quot;
    rc = (scroll_line(&quot;Table_Name&quot;,VSCROLL,2);
    # probably there is no scroll bar,
    # so handle that case here.
    case E_OK:
    # scroll bar worked, do whatever needs to be done
    # some unexpected error, handle that
    }</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">
