How to recognize and ad *all* objects in a window dynamically

Hi

I want to add "all" the objects in a window, into a temporary GUI map. The purpose is to be able to compare this with another page which should look the same.

Any idea how to do this ?

TIA
Abhinav

If it's Java, I know a solution.
But as you're talking of comparing pages, I assume you want to compare 2 web pages. For these I don't know ...

U can make use of the below mentioned code 2 traverse through the entire GUI Object in a window.

</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">set_window (strWindowName, 2);
do{
obj_get_desc( &quot;{class: object, index: &quot;&amp; i &amp; &quot;}&quot;, &quot;&quot;, &quot;&quot;,&quot;location&quot;, desc);
i++;
}while (obj_exists (&quot;{class: object, index: &quot;&amp; i &amp;&quot;}&quot == E_OK);</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">After getting the desc of a GUI Object, add it to the GUI map using the following code

</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">GUI_add(strGUIFile,strWindowName,strOb jName,strDesc);</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">If the GUIFile name supplied is null, then the GUI object learned will be added 2 a temp GUI File.
Success is not measured by the heights you attain but by the obstacles you overcome.

Thanks Bru, Sajesh !

Bru :

Yes, It is for comparing two web pages - which should be similar for 'most' objects, with some known exceptions.

It is web based, and not in java ..

Sajesh :

Thanks. This might do the trick for me !
