What is the \'Add-Ins\' tab in a test\'s properties?

Hello colleagues,
What is the significance of this tab please? Does it mean that only for this test, WR will automatically load the checked Add-In? OR Only for this test will WR check if the add-in is installed and if not then it will not run the test?

Please advise,
Lior

I have not tried it, but I suspect it has no effect unless you are running from testDirector.

Have you checked the documentation?

No.
I did not check any papers about this issue. I always prefer to ask in the forums first.

Thanks for the reply.

lior -

I am pretty confident that if you aren't using WinRunner with test Director these settings will have no effect.

They are used for Test Director to send the info needed to WinRunner when lauching an automated test what Addins need to be loaded to run the test.

Although - you might try to documentation. The info supplied by Mercury in the document files is a really good source.

Re: What is the \'Add-Ins\' tab in a test\'s properties?

Actually, all you have to do when in the actual "Test Properties" window with the "Add-Ins" tab selected is click the "Help" button. You will see that it confirms the "essentially just for Test Director" hypothesis.

Thank-you Charles.
I should know better for next time, not to be hasty and not to simply ask away...
