managing custom objects
can anyone could give a brief description how to manage custom objects in an application with an example...,
i would really appreciate it....
Re: managing custom objects
it depends on the object that you want to manage.
1. The custom object behaves like a stardard object
> use GUI Map Configuration to map the custom class to a stardard class (WinRunner Users Guide Chapter 9)
2. The custom object will not be recognized by WinRunner as an object
> use Virtual Object Wizard to create virtual objects instead recording analog statements (WinRunner Users Guide Chapter 9)
3. The custom object can be controlled i.e. by keyboard or API functions (replay solution)
> write your own functions for the object and replace the recorded functions by these functions

# Initial condition - set cell 'A1'
# step to row
# step to col
# call the function from script
set_window ("Microsoft Excel - Mappe1", 4);
xls_set_cell ("Mappe1", 5, 8);</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">4. you want to create a full record/replay solutions
