How can i change the options in the Settings-> Editor Options, before running my scripts? Since by default u do not have the "Line numbers in the gutter" option selected, I want to make sure it is "checked" every time it (script) is run, irrespective of the machine. Could somebody help me out with this please?
Like Charles, I am not sure of the reasoning you would want to change the editor options at runtime, but maybe a condition I ran into the past would spark some ideas on your part.
I had implemented some settings in ini files that were accessed by WinRunner, and the manner in which they were implemented meant that the settings had to be read prior to being able to edit them from within WinRunner. This would facilitate the need to reboot WinRunner for any changed to be affected.
I created a little applet in VB that would look at the contents of the ini file and and depending on the settings in this window (was it a debug run, or a final run), it would make the settings in the ini files and then launch WR so the settings can be read in at initialization.
Would doing something like this give you what you need? You could dig into the ini files and learn what setting needs to be changed, and then when you want to run a test run, execute this other function to start the test having the settings you need applied prior to WinRunner starting up.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
