Can someone help me determine the best approach or technique for validating source data.
For example, how do you validate a query that is utilized to populate the view of data that a reporting tool presents to the users
...and also to assure that the data returned is accurately being reflected in the charts and graphs presented to the users?
Would I connect to db and them query using db_connect() and db_execute_query() functions followed by db_compare()?
How would this work in a SQL Server environment? as I have only worked in an Oracle and Access environment.
What would I do differently in a Siebel environment?
Your help would be really be greatly appreciated...
Thanks in advance.
Re: Data Validation
They sound a bit like thinly-veiled interview questions.
