is there any way to implement appstate in WinRunner???
I need to execute some piece of code in the starting and end of the some test cases (like AppState in Silktest)to bring system into stable condition before and end of test case execution.
One way of doing it is to call function in the starting and end of the test script but I don't want to use it. Is there any other way to implement it?

If you don't want this code in your script, you could create a batch script instead. The beginning and end of the batch script can contain the code needed to stabilize the system. In the middle, you can call the script that you want to run.
Since WinRunner doesn't have built-in support for this, you're simply going to have to design it yourself. There would be several ways to do it, so you'll just need to pick the one that works for your situation.
