if two objects with same physical desc has been displayed in the form..
is there any other way to recognize apart from location?
I haven't tried, however I use location. Is there a specific need to go beyond location?
Yes, the index.
It depends on the AUT, but index (or in Java: class_index) is a very weak way of identifying an object. Any additional object (or even a different sequence of loading GUI objects) can change the index of a specific object.
I think, it's better to use location or have a talk with your developers if they can add you an additional attribute ...
