This function is not supported for virtual objects
the test environment is like this:
-The application is typical 2 tier
- oracle forms 5 for the GUI development with Oracle database as the back end.
I am using WinRunner 7.5 with VB,PB,Webtest and ActiveX addins
I tried to create a .gui file , the list boxes and button have been identified with right physical properties, but the edit fields are not getting identified. So i class mapped it to virtual object - object class.
Now ,after class mapping , the objects are getting recognized from the gui file ,but when i execute the obj_type with valid values , winrunner is displaying " This function is not supported for virtual objects " . Finally , I am using descriptive programming method to pass the data and retrieve.
But i would appreciate , if anybody would let me know why does a valid virtual object is not supported by WinRunner?
do u suggest trying with oracle addin?
Re: This function is not supported for virtual objects
A possible work-around might be to use obj_mouse_click() to get the input focus to the desired object, then use type() to enter the text.
