    post WR crash startup

    Hi,
If something goes wrong and I kill WR test using Task manager then I cant start WR until I restart my computer. It refers me to wrstderr file.
    The file says
Error: open connection to CRV (-1). Exiting...

It probably considers Wr process running.
I get around this problem by restarting computer.

Is there any process I can end using task manager so that I dont have to restart computer. I have checked and wrun.exe is not in my open processes.

is ther Wr agent icon appearing in the bottom right hand corner of your win tray next to the time?
if it is, right click on it and select exit. click ok on the dialog appears then Rclick on the icon again and select exit.
    WR should now launch!!

    Re: post WR crash startup

...in addition to the above I find I have to close it twice for it to work. If this does not work open task manager and end the the wrun.exe process.

    Re: post WR crash startup

I contacted Mercury and following is thier response.

If for some reasons, you need to kill the WinRunner application using the
Task Manager, please also kill the processes "crvw.exe" and "wrun.exe", if
    they are present.

If all the processes pertaining to WinRunner had been correctly terminated,
the Winrunner icon will not be present in the system tray, and you should be
able to restart WinRunner without restarting the machine
