validate a tree view against an xml Schema

I have a dynamic tree that contains nodes and subnode etc.
This tree has a set structure based on an XML schema
I was wondering if anybody ahs read from an xml file and then compared a visual out put aginst it?

This is cuasing me a bit of a headache as only specific folder names can be added to the tree depending on which schema is selected for that tre

I have looked through previous posts and cannot seem to find anything similar. Am I shooting in the dark or can it be done?

does any of that make sense?

Re: validate a tree view against an xml Schema

    Would your approach be:
Read a leaf and compare it with the appropriate node?

    Try this:

Re: validate a tree view against an xml Schema

    Not quite.
The tree nodes are elements in the xml and the documents contained in the tree are the leafs contained within the element. each element has attributes as to whether it is mandatory or not and can even point to other schema.
I think I will have to go down the hard coded line.
It is a government regulated schema and is not likely to change much so it seems the best solution for now.
