Learning objects during script execution..
I have a WEB app that loads loan apps for users to enter data. based on user selection, each loan app is differently designed and the number of input fields vary. Each loan app may have at least 50 input fields to max of 100+. Instead of learning each app and build the script, I am thinking of load the app and learn the objects, I plan to learn the objects while script is under execution. Based on object type like edit, list box, combo box, I will execute the corresponding user action to enter the data. I wanted to know has anyone come across such requriement. If yes, may be you could share how it was done.
Re: Learning objects during script execution..
I had no experience with learning Web GUI objects, but have done that for classic Apps. It's quite easy (though may be not enough reliable):
- Use GUI_add(...) to add objects to GUI Map
- To get all objects, use some basic physical description (that all objects of a class matches) together with index (or location) property
- To learn physical description of each object, use obj_get_desc(...)
Example: learning all custom obects in window
Sorry if i confused some functions names or parameters. Just to give you an idea...
