facing problem with web_obj_get_child_item_count
i am using the web_obj_get_child_item_count to identify the number of html_text_links in a particular cell of a html_table. I am iterating through all the rows of the table for a fixed column.
When a html_text_link is not present in the cell. WinRunner is throwing a General Error message with continue and pause buttons. I have trapped the return code, but still it pops-up the message. that acts as a show stopper to my script execution. Anyone can identify the real problem. or it is the problem with winrunner 7.5 and IE 5.5
the function signature.
web_obj_get_child_item_count ( object, table_row, table_column, object_type, object_count );
Re: facing problem with web_obj_get_child_item_count
As you are iterating through the table and are checking every cell, when WR cant find the html_text_link, it will throw a context_sensitive error. To avoid the popup, do the following:
1. In WR, goto Settings->General Options
2. Select Run Tab.
3. Uncheck all options except 'Run in Batch mode'and click Ok.
4. Close and Restart WinRunner.
Run the test and you will not be seeing error messages though you might see the context-sensitive error messages logged in the WR test results.
Hope this helps.
