Is Concurrency test with WR script possible?
I 've been asked to find if automation of a concurrency test is possible ...the developers have given a test case where 2 records are updated simultaneously(it specifies doing this on 2 different machnes but I think 2 browser instances should also do...?), one of them should be allow to update the record while the other should result in an error message.
Is it possible ? Any thoughts on how to go about this?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Is Concurrency test with WR script possible?
Open two instances of the application within the same WinRunner script giving each instance of the app (or each browser) a distinguishable handle inside your code.
Take one instance to the point where the exclusion is expected then pass control to the 2nd instance/browser and check to see if the error message occurs.
You may have to step the two apps along at the same time (ie what you do to one, do the same to the other before proceeding with the first) depending on how long the anticipated process takes.
Hope this helps...
