testing full win32 client-based (not MFC-based)
our company is in the middle of evaluating automation tool to use against our win32 client-based. so far, we have finished evaluating silktest. without silk's extension kit + custom coding, it doesn't recognize the custom objects of our app. any ideas on what automation tool better handles a purely win32 client-based app?
i'm aware that some coding would be necessary for this. Anybody that has experience with winrunner or quicktest with client-based app?

About WR - it depends on what (dev.) environment you use and what kind of controls you have there. Grids are headache with any testing tool (that's my experience). As well as toolbars, treeviews and sometimes listviews - if they are not derived from some standard class. With other controls in most cases GUI Map configuration may work - try mapping your controls classes to some standard classes.
