hello everyone ,
I am new to QA and automated tool . I wanted to know possible winrunner interview questions with ans wers if possible. i was a programmmer and want to switch to QA. Is it easy to grasp for someone new to automated testing . I have done some manual testing before.
even if you didn't have any programming background, switching to automated testing wouldn't have been a big deal. Since you are coming from programming, you already are in QA. It is just the QA programming. After all you already did manual testing like unit/system when you were developing programmes. The only two things for testing you need is logical & analytical capabilities. Rest for automation you need programming skills that you already have. Welcome to automated testing.....
On a less kindly note, I realy don't feel it's appriate for you to ask (or for us to provide) interview ANSWERS. Questions are a different matter, but trying to fake your way through an interview by memorizing stock answers does none of us in this business any good.
Remember, the best answers you can provide are based on EXPERIENCE. The million dollar question after that is how do you gain experience? This is where you leverage your programming knowledge and relate it to your potential to do successful test automation.
And something else to keep in mind, test automation is programming. So, if you got out of programming because you didn't enjoy it or struggled with it, then you might want to consider the implications for pursuing test automation as a profession. (This isn't to say that you were a bad programmer, rather, it provides a means for you to consider the context in which you are making this change.)
Well , i have already learnt the software and looks quite comfortable and as for my programming skills i am quite good at it.The only thing is that i didnt enjoy pointers in the c or C++ . Since this TSL does not have any these . i think i should be pretty comfortable . Any inputs on my thoughts.
