My code is getting value from a data table. After using this value I want to increment this string by one and want to replace this new value in data table with older one. becuase this value is being used in a field which excepts only unique value.
If this issue resolves, I dont need to update this value in data table manually.
Thanx Peter if u already answered to my question. Actually I didn't receive email from yahoo group yet. That is why I re-posted this message. Anyways Thank you very much for quick reply. I will read ur reply when I will get the email.
Below is the reply from WinRunner Support, I think this is the same kind of issue........
The problem that you are seeing occurs when you execute a ddt_save() function while running
the script or when
you save the data table from the WinRunner Data Table window.
Comments in an Excel sheet are similiar to Excel Macros, where an event within Excel is
triggered when you
place the mouse pointer over the cell containing the comment, thus displaying the comment.
WinRunner does not
support Macros. If you create a Macro in Excel, it will not carry over to WinRunner, which
is the same for
comments. When you save the data table, you are essentially saving another instance of the
sheet, which will
overwrite the comments.
Data tables were designed for data-driving WinRunner tests. They were not designed to
formatting or customized functionality the Excel has. Therefore the all the functionality
that you see in
Excel will not carry between WinRunner and Excel.
