Dynamically loading add in\'s
Can add in's be loaded and unloaded without closing winrunner and restarting it? I have an application that runs in VB but it launches other applications, one is a java application. If you load the java add in you can't load the VB or the Active X add in's, it complains.
I thought there might be a way to change these during a test run.
Thanks for any help
Re: Dynamically loading add in\'s
I haven't tried this, but your best bet is to emulate what WinRunner does when it loads an addin. If you look in the registry at the following location, you'll see entries for each addin:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mercury Interactive\WinRunner\CurrentVersion\Installed Components
Under each component, you'll see the key 'InitTests'. These are the tests in WinRunner's '\lib' folder that are executed to support the addin.
You can play around with trying to run these init scripts after WinRunner is loaded and see what type of results you get. It's a shot in the dark, but I think it's your only option.
