We programmers are using winrunner.
and i have to find out the alignment of text in a html-table cell.
either the text is left aligned or right aligned or center aligned.I am able to retrieve the data in a cell by using tbl_get_cell_data. but i am not able to find the positions, or coordinates.
In your WinRunner Help menu - go to TSL ONline ref and look up:
These may be helpful. I'm guessing the alignment (unless padded with leading characters that WinRunner can "see") may be a challenge. If no padding - my guess is you may have to do a bitmap checkpoint, unless the masking feature of the tbl_get_cell_data will do the trick. I've not used that previously.

I have'nt tried this, but you can give it a shot.
Since you have the text use,
find the cell position (co-ordinates) using tbl_* function.
find the mouse cursor position
You can find out if it's left aligned if the text co-ordinates and the cell co-ordinates happen to be the same (or pretty close).
I think that you get the general idea. I am not sure if it will work this way, but you can give it a shot, and if it or something else works do inform us about it. Don't think that this has been addressed before.
I am not able to find the cell coordinates in a html-table.
I think we can use tbl_get_cell_coords
but i don't know how to use this function.
i tried like this
tbl_get_cell_coords("table name","#rowno","#colno",outvar1,and outvar2);
but i am getting an error message like
not an appropriate function for widget class.
please kindly explain me regarding this function with an example
