Use of Hyphen in text field in WR script
I am running an automated WR session populating a data entry form from a spreadsheet (data table). An address field has a hyphen embedded. (e.g. 123-456 Main St.)
When the WinRunner script is run, the address is gotten from the spreadsheet and stored in the data entry form. However, the hyphen is stripped out. When I use two hyphens WinRunner actually crashes.
Is there some setting that indicates that the hyphen is a special character? How do I get text in my data table to be treated as pure text? Thanks.
Re: Use of Hyphen in text field in WR script
The hyphen is a special character. Precede it with a backslash to have it taken literally. Special characters are discussed in the WR User's Guide.
