How to minimize WR at the end of the test?

    Hi,

I've searched the forums and looked at WR help but couldn't figure out how to keep WinRunner workspace and results window minimized AFTER(at the end of) the test run?

    Any hints?

    Regards,

    You just want attention.

    Try 'minimise winrunner'.

Re: How to minimize WR at the end of the test?

..or may be it means you need some "help". Chill out.

When I run the test using "Run minimized" option, the WR window is minimized but at the end the results window as well as the WR window are maximized again.

So, what I wanted to know was how to keep it minimized even after the end of the test.

    Thx anyways.

    OK.

Go to "Search" at the top right corner of the screen. Type "minimise WinRunner". CLick on the the magnifying glass.

You'll find several posts that will show you how to minimise WR using TSL.

Re: How to minimize WR at the end of the test?

I already did that but couldn't find what I actually wanted to do. If you find a post or know the answer as to how to keep it mimimized at the [b]END[\b] of the test then plz lemme know.

    If not, break;

    Thx.

But what about using Key strokes or pressing Windows key + M or the desktop icon or something like that.. Why u want to do it through TSL...
Another point.. I also think the answer to this was already there in this forum... The problem with adding another thread is that a guy who wants to search will have to go through all this as the info is scattered.. So a search wont do any harm.. no offense..

Re: How to minimize WR at the end of the test?

I'm unsure why the question is being misinterpreted or may be I'm missing some point here, but again; all those discussions indicate how to minimize WR "during" the test run.
But in my particular case, the WR NOT ONLY has to stay minimized just during the test run but even AFTER the test.

I've tried all those tips and in all cases, during the test run it gets minimized but as soon as the test ends, the WR window gets maximized.

I need it to stay minimized "even after" the test until I manually maximize it.

    Thx.

    Why?

Have you thought about kicking off a script to minimize winrunner?

Re: How to minimize WR at the end of the test?

    Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try that.

The reason, I need WR to stay minimized even after the end of the test without popping up the results window etc., is because I'm trying to take a screen capture of the PC screen to indicate it's state at the end of the run.

Re: How to minimize WR at the end of the test?

    OK. I'll cooperate.

If you start using windows scripts or DOS batches, you ought to start WR by command line. May be more difficult than you expect.

In that case, I'd run WR normally, minimise it during the run, then do not stop the test just then. Use another function to wait a bit,

    e.g. wait(100).
or some function that recognises the fact that you've taken a screen shot.
