I would suggest you to go through the Help Manual of WinRunner & Context Sensitive Help for the same.
RunTime DB Checkpoint:
You can add a runtime database record checkpoint to your test in order to
compare information displayed in your application during a test run with the
current value( s) in the corresponding record( s) in your database.
1)The default check for a multiple- column query on a database is a case sensitive
check on the entire result set by column name and row index.
2)The default check for a single- column query on a database is a case sensitive
check on the entire result set by row position.
1)check the contents of part or the entire result set
2)count the rows in the result set
3)count the columns in the result set
You can find the more information on User Guide at chapter 17, which talks about the DB Checkpoints.
