Hello Firends kindly tell me the exact differenece between the Debug and Verify mode in WinRunner. the debugging options such as Breakpoints and stuff are also available in Verify mode, the other differebce that i know is that in Debug mode the Test Results window is not displayed, i would appreciate ur comments
This primary difference between the two modes is in how results are stored. In 'Verify' mode, you are prompted for a results folder, and the results can optionally be displayed at the end of test execution. In 'Debug' mode, WinRunner always stores the results in the same folder (called 'debug') and will overwrite it each time. This prevents you from having a lot of results folders when all you're doing is debugging your scripts.
Debug Mode: This mode is used to debug your script, this mode will overwrite your perviously stored result without prompting.
Verify Mode: This mode is for execute your script. Everytime you exeucte you prompted for a result folder. For each run there will be a different set of results. You can compare the results, you can retrive old results etc., This is like you have results for everyrun.
