WinRunner or QuickTest....which would suit my needs?
Believe it or not, where I work we are still using Visual Test 6.5. I'm looking at converting to a Mercury product. We do need to integrate with some custom dlls as many of our controls are not standard. Our product is not DB or Web based.
In your guys' opinion, which product would best serve my needs going forward?
Re: WinRunner or QuickTest....which would suit my needs?
Mercury is pushing customers to Quick Test.
Quick Test is VB based and supports .NET applications.(multi layer Gui map)
WinRunner will Never have support for .NET applications.(single layer Gui map)
WinRunner is still good to have (existing) scripts and functions (Compiled Module) for things Quick Test cannot do.(or are easier, simpler & faster to do in WinRunner)
Check and see if they have a combined license, 1 license that allows either (Quick Test or WinRunner) on the PC.
