Or do the documents available from these softwares actually provide enoungh information for me to search for a correct answer for an exam question?
Maybe, maybe not. Practival knowledge of the sofware is better.
And especially, if I do understand most of the test scripts in the Flight Sample, will that help?
I wouldn't waste my money taking the test if you only have experience with WR by playing against the Sample scripts and using the Flight Reservation AUT to test. The test itself is a bit more intensive than what it sounds like you have. But..if you feel that you know what you're doing don't let me stop you! Good Luck.
The CPS Exam is basicaly to make you familiar with the Tool Functionality and give you the hands on practice with the Sample applications supplied.
1) The theory question in CPS will concentrate on the online documents supplied with the Tool.
2) The Practical problems will test your(Person Taking Test) problem solving skills, with some do's & don't.
I feel like if a person started exploring the Tool or under gone some training can take the Test, which would really help him to gain a good knowledge about the tool. Ofcourse carrier wise also the certificate has good value.
The CPS will cover both Theory & Practicle for Client / Server. But it does not cover the Web. The Test is Offline with a duration of 3 months.
I think I will give it a try in a few weeks time because somehow I feel I am a bit confident with it. However, I can't be sure that I will be successful, but whatever the result is going to be at the end, I can be sure that I will have learnt a great deal out of it and if the result is a failure, then I believe that that failure will be a useful step leading me to success in the future, don't you agree? If you do, then I think we should encourage others who are in a similar situation as mine to take the exam if they want to and are confident with it. Because without taking such a challenge how could they tell how good/bad they are and where to improve to be successful?
I hope this will help someone who is afraid and equivocal about taking the exam overcome his or her fear and go for it if possible.
