I am in the process of testing a financial package. I am working on a particular window in in which I am testing whether we can find a correct transaction of the search criteria' for example if my search criteria is to find the transactions of say "PacBell" then I enter the name "PacBell" in the search text box and ultimately I should get the list of transactions related to that name.
This window has two sections,
one section enables me to enter the search criteria and the second section is in a form of a table with required colums and their headers which show the result of the search . The problem is that this table format is not recognised in the Gui map.
So I tried Vertual Object wizard to recognize that section as a vertual table(as it resemnbles a table).
Now I am not able to make use of table functions on this vertual object to extract particular value from a particular row and column. It gives an error message that these functions cannot be used on vertual objects.
Does it mean that the Win Runner functions are not applicable to Vertual Objects?
Is some thing missing in my procedure? Is the method correct to handle this problem?
Can any body solve my problem?
Re: Vertual Objects
Not all wr functions are working with virtual objects. But i can't say where it is documented
I map such tables or grids to list objects
then i am able to get the whole row of text and check the content with match()
