WinRunner Hardware Requirements?
I'm getting ready to stand up a server to accommodate WinRunner (and possibly, at some point, Test Director - although that's probably a year or more away).
The Mercury website identifies hardware requirements that do not seem to be significantly larger than our standard client desktop PC. I'm wondering if anyone out there has real-life <g> experience regarding the volume of archived data, and whether or not you believe the standard configuration identified by Mercury is sufficient?
Re: WinRunner Hardware Requirements?
I've run WinRunner on a Celeron 300MHz with 64 MB of RAM and 2 GB Hard Drive before with no problems. I've installed and run TestDirector on a PIII 500 with 128 MB RAM and 10 GB Hard Drive, again with no problems.
Niether of these requires a huge amount of horsepower to run, though in both cases more is always better.
Good luck and happy bug hunting.
