I was told that Winrunner needed only the PeopleSoft add-in to record and
play - and write, of course, scripts. I got the add in and am trying it in
the HR module of PS 8.
With the PS add in WR dosen't seem to identify web objects, so I tried to
load both web and PS add-ins, but that caused an error message and said that
using both might create errors. When I just loaded the web add-in I tried
recording clicking on one of the links in the menu - looks like a frame -
and it appeared that it worked. But when I tried to playback - the script
can't find the object ( a link in the menu)

We have written scripts for Peoplesoft 2,3 and N tier applications. I would
suggest that you do not use peoplesoft add-in, as we did not really feel the
usage of it though we had one. I only used web and other necessary add-ins
except Peoplesoft add in. You might find very rarely, some object
recognition scalability factor, but it can be ignored.
You cannot have both peoplesoft and web addin together. If WR does not
understand the link in the menu, i suggest you record it again.
